2014 - 2015

I must apologise for having been a bit slack in updating my website in the last year! I have been busy moving out of London to Marlborough, then meeting my other half, moving to Scotland and getting engaged to him! All that and painting inbetween, means the adming took a slight back seat.

However, after an amazing month in Kenya in August last year, during which I visited the elephant orphanage in Nairobi, I am thrilled to be doing a solo show with the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust with 40% of all sales going to their amazing charity. We are holding the private view on 12th August as it just happens to be "World Elephant Day"!

It's been a manic month as I also have done work for the CLA Game Fair coming up and also for the "Animal Magic" show at the Milton Art Gallery in Scotland which starts just afterwards. All that and taking delivery of a gorgeous new puppy who's trying his hardest to distract me.

So far this year, exhibition wise, I have a watercolour show at Stockbridge which starts on Feb 2nd and then later in the year, the Animal Art Fair on the Southbank, London which is slightly later this year in June. Hopefully no more injuries or illnesses as the commissions are piling up! See if I can fit in another trip to Kenya...

Well the Animal Art Fair has been rescheduled for later in the year. However, I'm off to Wausau tomorrow for the "Birds in Art" exhibition which I entered for the first time this year and got in!

My Chelsea exhibition sponsored by Love Brand is now open for viewing. A percentage of all profits will be going towards Tusk Trust, Elephant Family and The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust so do go and visit!

So again, an interesting year! After two very successful back to back summer exhibitions, I went and injured my right hand by severing the tendon in my index finger. For anybody who has done the same, this takes ages to heal! However, although not entirely back to normal, a few months later, I'm back at the drawing board and can still paint thank goodness which is a big relief...especially as I have so much work to do!

I will be showing at Art London this weekend which runs from Thursday 6th - Monday 10th October. My work will be with The Art Movement on stand 17 a the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, SW6.

So after a difficult  few months of illness in between exhibitions, I finally made it to Kenya where I stayed again at Sosian in Laikipia. As with last time, it was amazing. I actually saw the lions this time although the wild dogs were a bit elusive due to a pack of males having returned to the area. What was nice to see was so many elephants. We spent half an hour watching them by the riverside.

Last year I was asked to design an elephant for the Elephant Parade which took place around London last summer. Being a wildlife artist, I chose to paint it as a tiger which is an animal I personally sponsor. My nephew chose to call it Tigerphant! It was later sold at auction and raised £14,000 for the Elephant Family.

I have just donated  the painting "Open Wide" to Tusk Trust which has been featured in Sir Timothy Ackroyd’s new book "Ackroyd's Ark Two" and will be sold at their forthcoming auction at Christies on Monday 20th September.

Snow Leopard Vodka will be sponsoring the private view of my solo show. They are involved with the  conservation of the Snow Leopard by donating 15% of all their sales to the Snow Leopard Trust. In return, 15% of my painting "Solitude" will be donated to the Snow Leopard Trust.

I was also asked to design a lion for the Pride of Lions in Northampton. See it in the news by clicking here.

Solo show, Cork Street

My solo show on Cork Street last September was sponsored by Snow Leopard Vodka.

My love Brand exhibition is now open for viewing at 5 Park Walk in Chelsea.
